DCES Summer SchoolDCESThis is an opportunity for students to receive some extra reading and math reinforcement to prepare students for their next grade level. Students will receive phonemic awareness instruction, fluency practice, reading comprehension practice, writing reinforcement, as well as related critical math skills related to common core curriculum. Instruction will be from highly trained DCES Teachers. This program will give students added confidence in their reading and math skills and provide them with a successful jump start for the next school year. Students must be enrolled in DCES for the 2026-2027 school year to attend.Summer 2026 -
Exploration into ColorArt Camps at DMHSWe will explore color through different mediums in different ways. We will use colored pencil, watercolor, acrylic paint, and printmaking to create colorful works of art. We will be creating portraits, doing stain glass inspired designs, painting landscapes, creating Pop Art comic book characters, and learning how to paint on a canvas using formal painting techniques.Summer 2026 -
Jumpstart to KindergartenDCESThis is an opportunity for incoming kindergarteners to get comfortable in their new learning environment, get to know teachers, meet new friends, and learn important skills needed for kindergarten. This instruction will be from highly trained DCES Teachers. Students will get to tour their new school, and learn pre-reading/writing activities, counting and skills like cutting and gluing. Students must be enrolled in DCES Fall 2026 and five years of age by Sept. 1Summer 2026 -
Mandarin for New DLI StudentsDCESThis is an opportunity for current DCES students that were not enrolled in Mandarin during Kindergarten that will be joining Mandarin DLI in First grade or 2nd grade transfer students for the 26-27 school year. Students will have an introduction to Mandarin learning the language with vocabulary and math skills.Summer 2026 -
